Welcome to the Dawson of Stamford website. We are a family jeweller located in Stamford, Lincolnshire. As well as an extensive collection of gold jewellery, silver jewellery and antique estate jewellery, we also specialise in antique furniture and decorative interior pieces.
Our website focuses on giving a flavour of our unusual shop and stock, to offer those people who are unable to visit us the chance to view our range of items, including Georgian and Queen Anne furniture, silverware, decorative arts, carriage clocks, long case clocks and wood carvings.
We have been dealing in antique furniture for the last thirty years and source our pieces from throughout Europe and the UK, giving us a diverse selection of stock, ranging from early Flemish wood carvings to fine English furniture, as well as antique French and English carriage clocks
About Us
Dawson of Stamford Ltd has been a well known part of Stamford for over thirty years.
Established in 1974, John Dawson set up a work shop in the building at the bottom of his garden and, using his skills as a goldsmith and diamond mounter, specialised in the restoration of antique jewellery and handmade commission pieces.
In 1976 he opened a shop in Stamford to sell his jewellery, as well as his growing collection of antique furniture, fine art and obscure “objets”.
Over the past thirty years antiques has become a large part of our business , and we can now boast one of the most comprehensive and unusual collections of antique furniture and decorative objects in the east of England, as well an exciting and extensive range of 18ct gold and platinum fine jewellery.
