Jewellery Remodelling
If you have an item of jewellery that you no longer enjoy wearing, or you are no longer happy with, we are able to give advice and discuss your options regarding having the item remounted or remodelled.
If you have lost an earring, for example, we can make a matching earring or, alternatively, a single earring can easily be made into a pretty pendant.
Bespoke Work
If you have an idea in mind for a piece of jewellery and you are unable to find what you are looking for, we offer a bespoke service whereby your ideas can become a reality.
Jewellery Repairs and Watch Batteries
At some point, regardless of how careful we are, our jewellery will require maintenance or repair.
Here at Dawson’s we offer a comprehensive repair service that includes silver jewellery, gold jewellery, ring sizing, pearl and bead re-stringing and the repair of silver-ware.
We offer a ring and jewellery cleaning service
Regarding watch batteries, we are able to change the batteries of most watches in-house within the hour, however we do not have the facility to vacuum seal watches in order to guarantee water resistance.
Whilst most problems can be rectified there are always exceptions. Pop in to either our Red Lion Square shop or our St. Mary’s Street shop and we will advise you on the best course of action available to you
Valuations
There are many reasons to have a valuation of your jewellery. Whether you require it for the purposes of an insurance policy renewal, as a result of a loss or theft, for probate purposes, or simply as a record of your jewellery, we offer a comprehensive valuation service on a wide variety items, from jewellery to silver-ware.
Whilst our valuation services are focused mainly on jewellery or items of precious metals, such as silver salvers or cutlery sets, we are able to help or advise on a wide variety of specialist items.
